bosh-aws-xen-hvm-windows2019-go_agent

BOSH produces official stemcells for popular operating systems and infrastructures. For infrastructures that support it, light stemcells are a more efficient way to reference stemcells that we have pre-uploaded and shared within the IaaS.

For more information about stemcells, please see the following documentation.

You can upload the latest version to your director with the upload-stemcell command:

bosh upload-stemcell --sha1 9392a0d7e0540c06faad9282ad78ea16ce939e59 \
  "https://bosh.io/d/stemcells/bosh-aws-xen-hvm-windows2019-go_agent?v=2019.79"

And reference this stemcell in your deployment manifest from the stemcells section:

- alias: "default"
  os: "windows2019"
  version: "2019.79"

Licensing Requirements

Windows instance types will have additional costs associated with Microsoft licensing. Windows stemcell do not include actual Windows OS.

Deprecation Warning

Due to some unexpected deprecation from Microsoft there are some azure stemcells (pre-2019.42) that are broken. Please reach out to BOSH team on slack (#bosh) for further help.
